What do you do on Sundays at SEEDS? On April 13th, 18 volunteers came together to clean up yet another area of the Reykjanes peninsula as part of our Coast Care Sunday project .

 

While having fun in this “trash hunt”, we gathered many different kinds of waste such as tires, mooring buoys, and fishnets, which are especially harmful to marine and coastal environments, often entrapping wildlife and contributing to microplastic pollution 

 

Let’s keep protecting Iceland’s beautiful shoreline and wildlife, one Sunday at a time.
