Introducing Coast Care Sunday!

New year, fresh vibes, same resolutions, but with a twist! We would like to introduce Coast Care Sundays, where we will be cleaning Icelandic shore with our lovely environmental heroes Ungir umhverfissinnar, Gaia Iceland, Landvernd umhverfisverndarsamtök 
 
Emily shared some insights into the plastic and environmental challenges we're facing and then we were led to the shores of Reykjavík! After NYE, the amount of trash was unbelievable, but we powered through, picking up piece by piece.
 
After an hour, we regrouped for a delightful hot chocolate and pastries from Braud and Co. Our efforts showcased the beauty of community and conservation coming together.

We see you next month with Coast Care Sunday but before that with regular Coastal clean. This activity is a part of F.O.R.E.S.T. Foster Environmental Strategies for Change, a project supported by the Erasmus+ European Union Programme, aimed to promote international cooperation in the area of sustainable development, together with our Portuguese partners from Agora Aveiro.
