Documentary screening of "The Changing Face of Iceland"
29.11.2023
Yesterday, we had the honor of organizing a documentary screening event in collaboration with ESB - Evrópusambandið á Íslandi / the European Union in Iceland.

We showcased Mark Terry’s documentary on Iceland’s changing nature due to the ongoing global climate crisis. The documentary originally premiered at COP 26 in 2021 in Glasgow, and with COP 28 scheduled to take place in Dubai tomorrow, it’s a crucial moment to spread awareness about ‘The Changing Face of Iceland’—a story that remains pertinent given the ongoing challenges Iceland confronts regarding global warming.

Mark Terry, the director of ‘The Changing Face of Iceland,’ graciously made time to join us at the screening event, even calling in from Canada. After our screening, he rushed to catch his flight to COP 28 last night, where he continues to raise awareness about global climate issues with a new documentary.1

A special thank you to the members of the European Union in Iceland who were present at our event and to EU Ambassador Lucie Samcová-Hall Allen for her introduction speech. Thank you to everyone for being present and contributing to the conversation. Even though the journey is long, and progress may be slow, spreading awareness and maintaining the conversation truly make a difference!
